Walking Tour and River Cruise with Chilterns Walking Festival

Explore the Thames by boat and foot 

A special event offered as part of the Chilterns Walking Festival, combining cruising and gentle walking along the River Thames. Embark our luxury passenger vessel the Hibernia from our Boatyard at Henley Riverside for a 30 minute cruise to Hambleden lock, along the famous Henley International Regatta course. You will disembark at Hambleden Lock and be met by an expert guide for the 1-hour (2 mile) walk back along the Thames Path National Trail. This is a beautiful stretch of the River Thames, with much historic interest and wonderful views of the wooded Chiltern Hills. 

Access Information: The walk back along the Thames Path is level and there are no stiles or steps. 
Tuesday 16th May: Your walking guide will be, Steve Tabbitt, Thames Path National Trail Officer. Steve will point out the many sights, stories and wildlife along the way as well as giving you a ‘behind the scenes’ insight into how the Thames Path National Trail is managed. 

Tuesday 23rd May: Your walking guide will be Dr Richard Mayon-White, author of ‘Exploring the Thames Wilderness’ who will point out the many sights, stories and wildlife along the way.
